Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

Alchemy are currently partnering with a global technology firm who are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Engineer to be based in Zurich.

As a QA engineer you will work together with business users and members of the development team to provide quality systems that improve productivity, decrease operational risk, and enable the business to expand.

Role Responsibility:

  • Defect reporting and tracking activities.
  • Creating manual test cases.
  • Good experience of Test Management tools like ALM or Octane.
  • Experience with UAT testing and Release Mgmt. activities.
  • Collaboration with BAs and Developers, as well as QAs across the other teams.
  • Maintain test data required for both Manual and Automation testing.
  • Execute automated test cases, record test results, analyze test failures – using Selenium or UFT or any other Test Automation tool.
  • Working closely with, and giving demos to, Business Users.
  • Responsible for giving green for Go-Live.
  • Preparing and submitting Test Artifacts.
  • Identify candidates suitable for automation, plan for automation use cases.
  • Provide mentorship, support, and backup for other QA team members.

You will join the Product Distribution regulatory development team working for the global Product Distribution franchise, aligned to the Wealth Management Product Distribution business. The platform offers products spanning many asset classes, including Equities, FX, Money Markets and Structured Products, to multiple wealth management divisions. In particular, the regulatory team executes across many regulatory dimensions including MiFID I and II, PRIIPs, and FIDLEG.

You Offer

  • Overall experience 6+ years.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and testing techniques, including functional, non-functional, system integration, and testing across many phases of a project.
  • Well versed with Requirement Analysis, Test Design, Test Execution and Reporting activities.
  • Hands-on knowledge of JIRA.
  • Basic SQL knowledge is preferred.
  • Friendly and a collaborative attitude.
  • Proven ability to work well in delivering complex systems in a challenging, fast paced environment.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum processes and experience participating in an Agile team.
