Sales Executive - Freight Forwarding
Job Description
Our client, a well-known freight forwarder is looking to hire an experienced Sales Executive, Freight Forwarding to join their office near Dagenham, Essex.
The Sales Executive will support and provide guidance to existing and new clients, ensuring they receive excellent levels of service, managing and maintaining their business needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation and be involved in developing the Air, Ocean and Intermodal opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Developing the Air and Ocean freight sales ensuring increased GP per customer
Assist in securing new business
Responsible for selling Freight Forwarding services for Imports and Exports
Recording sales and order information to assist the business expansion
Supporting the sales teams to secure new business by sharing market and rate information to drive growth across the different modes of transport
Responsible for promoting company services in the Freight Forwarding industry
Visiting clients where required
Generate action plans to enhance performance
Develop and maintain relationships with customers and clients
Work alongside the operations team keeping informed of client plans and challenges being faced
Organising marketing plans
Skills Required:
Background in Freight Forwarding/Shipping and Logistics
Experience in Air and Ocean freight sales preferred
Good knowledge of European markets preferred
Strong communication skills
Ability to direct and be a mentor for the sales team
Commercially minded
