Territory Sales Representative (Fully Remote, French Speaker)

We have a new and exciting opportunity available for an experienced Territory Sales Representative in Canada to join our client a building material manufacturer.

This opportunity offers an excellent salary, benefits, and a fully remote working structure. The successful candidate will have to be based in Montreal. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled sales professional to drive sales development and make them the finest distributors for building materials, promote the brand by creating great connections with distributors, stakeholders in your region and educate them on the products. You'll also work with a specification representative to implement a two-step, pull-through sales strategy that generates interest from users and sales from distributors.

You will partner with the National Sales Manager to develop promoting company’s products and selling through a network of distributors across Canada.

Scope of the Territory Sales Representative role:

  • Communication will be essential as you establish your area and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • To market products and services on a continuous basis via presentations and training seminars, such as lunch-and-learns, and you will routinely attend sales meetings with distributors to promote products.
  • You will have a lot of direct involvement with supplier as well as the internal team, which includes supply chain, warehousing, and salespeople.
  • You will be always in collaboration with your distribution partners and, on occasion, in collaboration with the Specifications Representative (located in Los Angeles).
  • You will work on a wide range of projects, such as regional/national/global retail and hospitality chains, office buildings, restaurants, and others.
  • In order to complete business, you will collaborate closely with the Specification Representative on design requirements and with distributors on bids, pricing, and orders.
  • Our CRM system will support you for the data gathering.


  • Using the corporate CRM to track your appointments, pipeline, and other initiatives.
  • Communicating with all stakeholders to ensure that projects are managed and delivered efficiently, that goods are available, that deadlines are fulfilled, and so on.
  • Establishing contacts with material providers and other industry wholesalers, as well as architects and designers, general contractors, and end users.
  • Collaborating with the Specifications Representative on high-value projects in the planning phases, focusing on initiatives that will result in strong sales.
  • Assisting users in completing projects and educating applicators, installers, and dealers on the benefits of using products.
  • Dealing with requests for product information or samples.
  • Participating in and/or exhibiting at trade exhibitions or other comparable activities.
  • Communicating and coordinating with the distributor network to promote the promotion of the brand and products, resulting in revenue generation.
  • Completing needed administrative activities, such as CRM, in a comprehensive and timely way.
  • Expenditure reports, project research and forecasts, customer service, and so on.
  • Locate and visit factory, as well as deliver new business to our Distribution Partners.
  • Define the long-term distribution strategy in your territory with the National Sales Manager.
  • Update the CRM with factory, OEM, and Distributor contacts.
  • Weekly customer visit planning in our CRM system, including meeting reports and follow-up.


  • Solid construction and/or design experience (material supplier, hardware, interior furnishings and etc.); experience working with factory is preferred.
  • Strong coaching / training ability
  • Excellent presentation and written, verbal, and listening communication skills
  • Computer literacy, including experience using CRM software and MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 
  • Willingness to travel as needed to train, go on appointments, and attend meetings with distributors
  • Passion for your work and growing a territory
  • Outstanding organisation skills; willingness to input data in the CRM system daily
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a strong team
  • Ability to self-manage and encourage; an objectives-driven, detail-oriented approach
  • Speaks fluent English and French.
