Warehouse Operative
Job Description
We are working with an internationally established Shipping and Logistics company based in Buckinghamshire near to Oxford, looking for a Warehouse Operative to join their team.
The main responsibilities of this role are to offload items, move items with pallet and forklift trucks and various warehouse duties.
Responsibilities will include:
Loading duties, breaking down cargo, building pallets and loading and offloading
Work closely with the ETSF manager
Operate as a secure Border Force AEO
Booking in and locating freight to ETSF area within the warehouse
Scanning and scrutinising cargo, ensuring all information is accurate and correct, labelling as required
To place and retrieve freight in and from appropriate storage areas
Ensuring the warehouse is secure due to the sensitive cargo within
Organising the warehouse as required making sure that space is utilised efficiently
Always working within accordance of company health and safety policy
To carry out bond checks and housekeeping duties as required
Handling enquiries as necessary, escalating complaints if required
Processing relevant paperwork
Processing HAWB’s and MAWB’s respectively
Experience Required:
Experience in a customs-controlled environment
Import/Export experience
A full (clean) security check will be conducted if proceeding with this role. This will include a 5-year work and academic check.
Experience working in a warehouse environment
Great team player, capable of working well alongside colleagues.
IT skills will be required.
Excellent communicative ability can liaise with a variety of different people.
Dependable and reliable, can work well independently on own initiative.
