What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare and review general journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Support the month-end close process for timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure transactions, reporting systems, and ledgers comply with GAAP and legal standards.
- Analyse financial data to generate accurate and timely financial reports.
- Assist in maintaining and improving internal control procedures to protect company assets.
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare supporting documentation for audits.
- Manage fixed asset sub-ledgers and provide detailed reports to external accountants.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of W2, 1099, and 1095 forms.
- Collaborate with Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and the Controller on daily operations.
- Utilise Great Plains Accounting software for data entry, reporting, and ad hoc analysis.
- Contribute to special projects and financial analysis tasks as directed by the Controller.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ accounting experience, particularly in month-end close and financial analysis.
- Previous experience in the moving, relocation, or logistics industry is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and proficiency in accounting software (Great Plains experience a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
