Based in the centre of London, this position provides a long-term opportunity for competent individuals who are comfortable handling, hanging, and installing a wide range of artworks. What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Hanging and installing a diverse collection of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and modern works.
  • Handling and packing artwork with museum-quality care and precision.
  • Working together with gallery directors, artists, and curators to ensure smooth installations.
  • Leading or assisting with on-site installations for exhibits and art fairs in London and overseas.
  • Working with a strong, collaborative technician team that prioritises quality and consistency.
  • Transporting artworks locally with utmost care for safety and display.
  • Maintaining tools, materials, and equipment in order to meet high operational standards.
  • Managing condition checks and installation documentation as needed.
  • Supporting warehouse operations, including inventory checks and preparation.
  • Working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and receiving overtime pay.
  • Assisting with sophisticated or high-value art installation projects in various locales.
  • Providing great service and consistently portraying the gallery with professionalism and compassion.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in a similar Art Technician position at a gallery, museum, or fine art handling organisation.
  • Strong understanding of art installation techniques in numerous media.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and confidently on high-profile or difficult installations.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and dedicated to long-term employment.
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • A clean driver's license and willingness to travel for installations are preferred.
