Alchemy is partnering with an established aerospace & defense organization who are seeking a Technical Solutions Program Manager to join their team.

The role will oversee successful outcomes in complex aircraft programs, including aircraft maintenance schedules, structural modifications, system upgrades, depot setups, and customer training. Reporting into the Director of Technical Solutions, this role involves coordinating with customers, internal teams, and subcontractors to ensure the program's objectives are met. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of company programs.
  • Manage performance across all aspects of the program, including scope, quality, cost, and schedule, ensuring that both the company and subcontractors meet expectations.
  • Anticipate risks and manage scope changes to accommodate evolving program demands.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define program goals, responsibilities, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Guide, motivate, and manage internal teams and subcontractors to meet program objectives.
  • Provide indirect supervision of on-site labor and subcontractors.
  • Serve as a technical and program resource for the execution team.
  • Act as the main point of contact between customers, internal teams, and external subcontractors.
  • Effectively communicate progress, challenges, and risks to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment and prompt decision-making.
  • Develop technical requirements for subcontractor Statements of Work, evaluate proposals, and propose changes as needed.
  • Drive exceptional customer value and satisfaction, enhancing brand loyalty.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
  • Manage program execution to ensure financial profitability.
  • Oversee program expenses, customer billing, and cash flow management.
  • Collaborate with the quality department to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with export regulations.
  • Prepare detailed project reports, updates, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation on key decisions, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance program management processes and implement best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to improve program outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related technical field, with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing complex technical programs.
  • Ability to create detailed timelines and understand critical paths.
  • Strong team leadership and influence skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, both domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AS9100, AS9120, and/or ASA-100 standards.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in heavy aircraft structural repairs and general aircraft maintenance.
  • Proficiency in reading aircraft drawings and technical data, including USAF technical orders, USN NAVAIRs, and US Army technical manuals.
  • Previous experience with C130 structural modifications and system upgrades.
