Our client, a well-established corporation in Atlanta, GA, is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee their warehouse operations. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee all warehouse operations to ensure that items are handled and stored efficiently and accurately.
- Manage and schedule warehouse employees, including hiring, training, and performance assessments.
- Create and implement warehouse policies and procedures to increase productivity and safety.
- Ensure that inventory is appropriately tracked and maintained through regular stock audits and updates.
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of items for both inbound and outbound shipments.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and arrange routine maintenance to guarantee operational readiness.
- To avoid damage and increase productivity, ensure that all materials are properly stored, labelled, and organised.
- Work with the operations and logistics departments to guarantee timely distribution and shipment of items.
- Monitor warehouse safety practices and verify they are in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Analyse workflow and processes and offer modifications to increase productivity and lower costs.
- Maintain operational standards by ensuring compliance with business rules and industry requirements.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability to improve overall warehouse performance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, ideally in the moving and relocation industry.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse management best practices, inventory control, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, as well as experience in employee training and development.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and do minor repairs as required.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, as well as a sharp eye for detail.
- Experience with warehouse management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
