This role will perform shipping, receiving, and daily warehouse activities as it pertains to the operations of Domestic/Primes/US Government Shipping.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Execute daily warehouse operations using the Pentagon 2000 computerized inventory control system.
- Perform precise unpacking, verification, and documentation checks to ensure material conformity and quality.
- Locate, pick, check, stage, assemble, label, palletize, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Prepare and coordinate domestic and international shipments.
- Conduct detailed visual inspections upon receipt of materials, comparing against documentation for accuracy.
- Determine optimal shipment methods based on item specifics, destination, and timelines.
- Scan, digitize, and attach relevant documents to the inventory management system.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while performing material handling tasks as assigned.
- Conduct cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory with system data.
- Interpret packaging instructions from government contracts and order requirements.
- Enter data into online portals to facilitate shipments.
- Collaborate with various departments to schedule inspections as per order specifications.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in basic computer operations.
- Forklift operation capability.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive work attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Experience with UPS, FedEx, and DHL preferred.
- Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-129 & MIL-STD-2073 standards.
- Experience with Wide Area Work Flow, Vendor Shipping Module, Shipping Instruction Requests, and Exostar portals is advantageous.
Training:
- Initial and annual/recurring training
- Pentagon Basics training.
- Training in Export & ITAR compliance, ESD Handling, Human Factors, and working under EASA approval.
- Forklift certification (if required).
- Hazmat Training/Dangerous Goods training for HazMat Specialists.
