This role is open to professionals with business intelligence, consulting or advisory backgrounds with a 5+ years’ experience of managing commercial, strategy, management, regulatory, political risk projects.
The Associate director will lead a team of analysts to deliver managing enhanced due diligence and strategic intelligence projects to corporates in Japan and globally.
Role responsibilities:
- Consulting with clients to assessing potential commercial, regulatory, and political risks.
- Sourcing human sources of information internally and also externally across Japan and Asian geographies.
- Devising strategies to identify and engage new sources.
- Conduct investigations & research using multiple lines of enquiry using both OSINT and HUMINT.
- Lead the project team operations including: managing analysts, senior analysts, and managers.
- Liaise with the firms’ teams in other global offices.
- Mentor staff and develop training initiatives
- Work with business development team assisting with business development campaigns.
- Assessing and debriefing clients (private equity and multinational corporates)
- Managing client relationships
- Synthesising intelligence and preparing high quality long-form written reports for clients.
Required experience:
- Written and verbal Fluency in English
- Professional working proficiency in Japanese language
- Cultural awareness and experience of working in Japan corporate market.
- 5+ years professional experience in the business intelligence, consulting industry or advisory space.
- Strong commercial awareness
