Accounting Manager

Job Description

Our client, a top provider of local and international Moving and Relocation services, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team based in Yonkers, NY.

Ultimately, you will provide accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of the business, while ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all Moving accounting transactions
  • Rate shipments and settle drivers
  • Prepare Moving budget forecasts
  • Publish Moving financial statements in time
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure timely bank payments
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
  • Audit financial transactions and documents
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations
Requirements and skills:
  • Previous accounting experience in the Moving and Relocation industry is desirable
  • Ideally have previous experience working with the Atlas software
  • Commercially focussed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiastic team player
  • Accounting degree would be beneficial
