Gallery Manager

Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for a confident and approachable individual to work within a Contemporary Art Gallery in Los Angeles as the Gallery Manager. Responsibilities of the role are to run the daily operations within the Gallery and manage their individual sales.
Responsibilities include:
  • Working alongside the Gallery owners, and assisting the gallery
  • Responsible for ensuring the gallery operations run smoothly
  • Forming new connections with influential Industry professionals as well as building upon existing client relationships
  • Coordinate with the warehouse staff and logistics team to ensure all pre and post-sale procedures are undertaken
  • Taking full responsibility for exhibitions and events that take place within the Gallery, looking after artwork changes as well as artist liaison
  • Ensure that consignment contracts are completed correctly
  • Take part in local exhibitions and art fairs
  • As well as operations, you will be required to manage your own individual sales
Additional skills:
  • Experience working within a similar environment in a Gallery or Luxury Industry is essential
  • Previous experience in a sales background
  • A confident communicator
  • Excellent computer skills
  • An existing knowledge of art logistics
  • A genuine interest in Art
