Operations Manager

Job Description

Our client a moving specialist based in the San Francisco, CA area is seeking an experienced moving operations manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility for the moving operations of this very busy operation
  • Interacting with OTR operational staff to make sure they are well equipped for the moves that they are doing
  • Routing and directing crews on a daily basis
  • Monitor the progress of all shipments and immediately resolve any driver service problems 
  • Assisting the moving general manager in developing annual business plans
  • Responsible for proper training of drivers, along with logs and paperwork
  • Interviews, hires and trains departmental staff
  • Recruits independent contractors for local, short and long haul positions
  • Oversees and responsible for all local equipment meeting safety regulations
  • Supervises warehouse yard and equipment are clean, neat and organized
Experience Required:
  • Ideally minimum of 5 years moving experience as an operations manager
  • Local, intrastate and interstate operational moving management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Posses a valid drivers license
