Salesforce Declarative Development - Team Lead (L2 Salesforce Configuration)

The Role 
The Salesforce Declarative Development Lead understands the full extent of the digital solution and will collaborate effectively with colleagues from other disciplines to provide appropriate levels of support, help define technology objectives, and meet operational requirements to ensure the solution fits within the enterprise architecture. Skills Required:
  • A confident written and verbal communicator, able to clearly explain digital ideas to non-technical audiences, and work effectively with non-technical colleagues and business executives
  • Team Leadership – Proven experience of managing Declarative Development Teams
  • Salesforce Certified in Administration, Advanced Administration, App Builder
  • Flows – Experience to intermediate level 
  • Queues
  • Understanding of Salesforce offerings, including licensing options
  • Communities/Experience Cloud
  • Sales cloud – Development with understanding of key features and how to apply to business scenarios
  • Service cloud – Development with understanding of key features and how to apply to business scenarios
  • Salesforce standard reporting
  • Data loader – Good understanding of salesforce data modelling
  • App builder – Working within a Lightning Experience org 
  • Pardot or similar Marketing apps
Advantage but not essential
  • Chat Bot knowledge
Key responsibilities:

SF Technical/Project Configuration
  • Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all declarative changes in the system.
  • Work with Business Analysts to define user requirements and translate them to functional              specifications.
  • Ensures that all standard requirements have been met and is involved in performing the technical analysis.
  • Perform technical analysis for new requirements, and salesforce major and minor releases and other projects assigned ensuring Impacts are shared
  • High Level and Details sizing Capability
  • Have excellent Lightening experience
  • Create Configuration Artifacts so the Deployment manager can deploy changes
  • Perform Demo’s for Configured items to Stakeholders
  • Prototyping
  • Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring governance
  • Act as a subject matter expert on all items related to Salesforce declarative and the Salesforce eco-system (e.g. AppExchange).
Team Management
  • Lead the L2 Declarative Team to develop functional specifications and guide the development of those items.
  • Ensures L2 Declarative Team follow best practices and is responsible for maintaining declarative best practice documentation
  • Ensures availability of L2 Declarative Team resources to meet goals of delivering Projects/CRs within agreed timelines (Team Capacity Planning)
  • Allocation of tasks to team members
  • General management of the L2 Declarative Team including objective setting
  • Ensuring knowledge share and training within the L2 Declarative Team.
Escalation Point for Incident Management / Application Support
  • As L2 Team Lead act as the escalation point where L1 Technical Support team cannot resolve issues.
  • Troubleshooting a variety of complex and technical issues internal/external customers are having with the CRM application.
  • Troubleshooting remotely or assistance over the phone or email if needed.
  • Administer all escalated requests for assistance and analyse issues and provide efficient resolution for same.
  • Resolve complex incidents for Salesforce configured solutions within agreed timelines
  • Collaborate with application groups to prepare effective solutions where issues persist with connected applications.
