Senior Immigration Consultant

Job Description

A new opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Immigration Consultant to join our clients immigration services team in Melbourne, VIC Australia.

This position offers a hybrid working structure, in office and remote.

The Senior Immigration Consultant will be responsible for: 
  • Acting as the main point of contact for corporate clients requiring  immigration services 
  • Manage end-to-end corporate immigration supporting clients, assignees, and their families 
  • Understanding and adhering to the Code of Conduct as administered by the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) at all times 
  • Ensuring immigration compliance with law and legislation 
  • Monitoring the status of the visa applications with the Department of Home Affairs and/or the offshore immigration authorities and/or GCIPs as necessary until finalised 
  • Advise and assist corporate clients with the preparation and lodgement of business sponsor monitoring reports including the collating of supporting documentation in accordance with DIMA monitoring requirements 
  • Performing specialist para-legal work associated with the Migration Act 1958 (the Act) and the Migration Regulations 1994 (the Regulations) and other legislation relating to migration procedure (other migration legislation) 
  • Delivering ongoing visa and immigration advisory to clients and assignees 
  • Managing immigration client caseload and accurately maintaining records as required
  • Staying up to date on changes and revisions to local immigration legislation and communicating these changes internally and to clients
  • Support the visa application process by gathering documents, reviewing documents, and preparing the necessary paperwork and application forms 
  • Delivering a solution-based approach to all aspects of client immigration services
  • Provide ongoing client account management support
  • Fully managing the immigration lifecycle for immigration cases
Desired experience:
  • 2-3 years + experience in Australia inbound and global immigration 
  • Registration with MARA as a registered migration agent 
  • Proven experience handling various immigration, visa/pass application types 
  • Experience in business immigration and dealing with corporate clients 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to foster professional relationships 
  • Problem-solving and solutions-based approach
  • Strong independent research ability
  • Excellent IT skills
