Our client, a leading HR and Logistics services firm in the UK, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Team Leader to join their finance team. This hybrid position requires two days per week in the office.
In this leadership role, you'll guide and support a team of AR professionals while ensuring efficient cash collection, accurate customer invoicing, and strong client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable team, overseeing day-to-day activities and ensuring timely, accurate invoicing and collection
- Monitor AR ledger performance, ensure reconciliations are completed, and proactively address aging balances
- Supervise client outreach for overdue payments, billing disputes, and high-risk accounts
- Analyze aged debt reports, highlight trends, and escalate critical issues to finance leadership
- Serve as a liaison between AR, operations, and account management teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Oversee the accurate recording and allocation of incoming payments across multiple channels (bank, ACH, credit card
- Ensure effective resolution of payment errors, misapplied funds, and short payments
- Coordinate AR month-end close activities, including reporting and journal entries
- Prepare documentation for audits and ensure compliance with internal control
- Drive continuous improvement in AR processes, client communications, and system accuracy
- Deliver regular KPI reporting (e.g., DSO, collection efficiency) to management and help set performance goals
- Support team development through training, mentoring, and performance feedback
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, with prior team leadership or supervisory experience
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
- Strong Excel and ERP/CRM system proficiency
- Detail-oriented and organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Background in HR, logistics, finance, or relocation sectors is a plus
- Experience managing hybrid teams and promoting a collaborative work culture
