A leading professional services firm is hiring a Senior Manager, Global Equity to join their well-established Global Mobility Services (GMS) practice focused on equity and compensation.
This is a high-impact position focused on delivering expert guidance on global equity and compensation matters.
This role can be based in San Francisco, San Jose, or Santa Clara in California or in Seattle, Washington.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and manage a team assisting clients with global incentive arrangements including share-based compensation and the firm’s sourcing/reporting tools.
- Apply local jurisdictional corporate and payroll tax rules to incentive arrangements and identify potential tax exposures.
- Engage with global member firms for technical support and assist with executive and employee communications.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and design global incentive structures for maximum operational and tax efficiency.
- Advise on the impact of corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and IPOs on global incentive arrangements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while overseeing high-quality technical and operational service delivery.
- Lead engagement teams ensuring efficient and effective compliance and consulting services.
- Manage engagement risk, quality, budgeting, billing, and collections.
- Participate in external and internal events to represent the practice and support business development efforts.
- Coach and develop junior tax professionals and foster team growth.
Requirements:
- A minimum of seven years' recent experience in expatriate tax, employer benefits, or incentive compliance.
- Must demonstrate experience in at least three of the following: total rewards, global compensation and equity sourcing, domestic/global employment tax, M&A advisory, executive compensation, mobility tax, corporate tax, ASC 718/740, or share-based compensation delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
- Professional designation such as CPA, JD/LLM, Enrolled Agent, or Certified Equity Professional (CEP) required (or obtained within one year of hire).
- Proven leadership of large, complex, multinational client engagements.
- Strong project management and supervisory experience.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver innovative equity and compensation solutions.
- Previous experience working for a Big4 or another mid-tier Tax firm is required.
- Happy to work a hybrid working structure.
