What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and oversee all international shipping operations for fine art and cultural property
- Develop and implement global logistics strategies to optimize delivery timelines and costs
- Manage customs clearance processes and compliance with import/export regulations
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and artists for bespoke shipping requirements
- Select and manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and local partners
- Ensure proper documentation for high value, fragile, and sensitive artworks
- Oversee risk management policies including insurance and damage prevention
- Monitor performance KPIs and prepare operational reports for executive leadership
- Lead team training on packing standards, handling procedures, and compliance
- Troubleshoot global shipping challenges and provide real time solutions
- Budget planning and forecasting for international logistics expenditures
- Represent the company at industry events and with regulatory agencies
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in international shipping and logistics (fine art experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of customs regulations and cultural property laws
- Demonstrated track record managing global teams and third party partners
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Strategic thinker with effective problem solving skills
- Experience with high value freight and risk mitigation strategies
