What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead global transportation and logistics operations for international fine art shipments
- Oversee customs clearance, documentation, and regulatory compliance across regions
- Manage vendor relationships with overseas agents, carriers, and customs brokers
- Collaborate with art handlers, crating teams, and registrars to ensure secure shipments
- Implement best practices for packing, handling, and climate-controlled transport
- Direct logistics planning for exhibitions, auctions, and private collector deliveries
- Supervise insurance policies and risk management strategies for global movements
- Maintain compliance with CITES, export licenses, and cultural property laws
- Drive cost control and efficiency improvements in international freight processes
- Develop and report on operational KPIs and shipping performance metrics
- Train and mentor logistics coordinators and documentation specialists
- Liaise with clients and internal departments on complex, high-value projects
What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years in international logistics, ideally with fine art or luxury freight
- In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations and customs documentation
- Experience working with international freight forwarders and customs agencies
- Strong leadership and cross-cultural communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and organization
- Proven background managing fragile, valuable, or climate-sensitive cargo
