Alchemy is partnering with a leading airline seeking a Head of Revenue Accounting to join their team in Doha, Qatar. 

In this position, you will oversee Revenue Accounting and the Cash Office. You will ensure outputs comply with established policies, procedures, standards, and internal controls. Acting as a strategic partner to the business, you will lead and develop the Revenue Accounting teams to support seamless, efficient operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Commercial division, delivering comprehensive Revenue Accounting support to help achieve the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Design and implement efficient cash collection and banking strategies that enhance control and reduce overall cost.
  • Develop and enforce Internal Accounting Procedures (IAPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with strict adherence across teams.
  • Oversee the Revenue MIS team to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting for internal stakeholders.
  • Lead the delivery of reliable, efficient Cargo Revenue Accounting services, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of Cargo and Postal Mail revenue activities and month-end closing.
  • Monitor Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) performance to ensure alignment with contractual SLAs and KPIs.
  • Review and manage budget allocations related to the Passenger Revenue Accounting unit.
  • Conduct periodic evaluations of policy documents, IAPs, SOPs, and BPO SLAs, ensuring updates reflect evolving operational and business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement by optimizing processes, implementing automation, and enhancing systems to provide cost-effective, scalable services that support future growth
  • Perform additional departmental duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with at least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience across the Sales to Cash cycle
  • Proven leadership experience managing an airline Revenue Accounting unit
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects or system changes related to Revenue Accounting
  • Familiarity with both in-house and BPO processing environments
  • Strong knowledge of Revenue Accounting processes and systems
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and process-driven environments
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels
  • Experience managing Cargo Revenue Accounting in an airline is preferred
  • Experience leading projects or system changes specific to Cargo Revenue Accounting is preferred
