What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage the complete import process for shipments arriving in the UK via deep-sea freight.
- Handle pricing and booking of international shipments.
- Coordinate required shipping documentation and ensure compliance with UK import regulations.
- Oversee and manage container groupage shipments where applicable.
- Communicate with shipping lines, suppliers, and clients to track and manage shipments.
- Support customs clearance processes by preparing necessary paperwork.
- Liaise with customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate customs entries.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import regulations and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate closely with team members and provide guidance to trainee coordinators.
- Input and maintain shipment data in internal systems accurately.
- Resolve issues or delays proactively by liaising with appropriate parties.
- Ensure excellent customer service by providing timely updates and solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience handling UK imports from start to finish, particularly via deep sea freight.
- Understanding of customs procedures and required documentation.
- Ability to price and book international shipments confidently.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Team player who can work collaboratively with junior and senior staff.
- Experience in groupage container coordination is an advantage, but not essential.
