Alchemy Global Talent is supporting a leading real estate developer who is seeking a Senior Cost Control Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cost management professional to play a key role in overseeing project financial performance across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use, and infrastructure developments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing robust cost control procedures, monitoring project budgets, analysing financial performance, and providing strategic recommendations to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project cost control systems and procedures.
  • Monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and analyse cost reports, variance analyses, cash flow forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
  • Identify cost risks and opportunities, providing proactive recommendations to project stakeholders.
  • Review contractor valuations, change orders, variation claims, and payment applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Commercial Teams, Finance Departments, and external consultants.
  • Ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting across multiple development projects.
  • Support procurement activities through budget reviews, tender evaluations, and commercial assessments.
  • Monitor project progress against approved budgets and schedules.
  • Assist with feasibility studies, cost planning, and project financial modelling.
  • Lead cost review meetings and present financial updates to senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within cost management and project controls processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and industry best practices.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in cost control, commercial management, or quantity surveying within the real estate, construction, or property development sector.
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience managing large-scale residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project cost management software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced development environment.
