Senior Corporate Accounting Analyst

Alchemy has an amazing opportunity to join a team in Denver as a Senior Corporate Accounting Analyst exists with one of our most innovative and interesting clients. Their company is a leader in the technology industry, and the software it created forms the basis for important scientific discoveries and studies.

The first goal for this position will be restructuring the payroll accounting process and figuring out how we can add more value to the organisation as labour is one of our biggest expenses as a software company. You'll collaborate closely with the operational and international accounting teams and be in charge of creating internal controls, automating processes, and helping the corporate accounting team balance the books each month. We search for issue solvers who are motivated by the possibility of increasing the effectiveness or accuracy of present practices and are dissatisfied with the status quo.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounting systems for US and foreign subsidiaries should be used to record payroll, cash, and other operations.
  • Provide accounting knowledge to the Payroll Operations team and act as the point of contact for any requests for payroll-related financial audits.
  • Work with upstream and downstream teams to conduct flow analyses and provide accounting guidance for associated transactions as part of the month-end closure procedure.
  • Improve the payroll and cash process by implementing and documenting improvements to enable growth, scalability, and improved compliance.
  • The potential for assuming more complex responsibilities.

Skills:

  • Experience in general corporate accounting of at least two years, with four or more years of experience in accounting or finance (public accounting is desirable).
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, as well as the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • It helps to have prior experience working with international teams.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in work products in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organisational and attention to detail skills.
  • A method of problem-solving that is analytical and creative, with a history of process improvement.
  • Practical knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
  • It's a bonus if you have experience with NetSuite, Workday, ADP, Safeguard, and GTreasury.
  • You must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
