What You’ll Be Doing:
- Safely handle and transport artworks using professional packing methods and secure loading techniques.
- Conduct on-site installations and de-installations of artworks, adapting to varying conditions with creative problem-solving.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including driver logs, condition reports, and shipping paperwork.
- Receive and release shipments at the warehouse, ensuring artworks are correctly documented and stored.
- Pack a variety of artworks for transport or storage, following best practices in art handling and protection.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT and local transportation regulations while driving.
- Support internal teams with logistics and warehouse operations as required.
- Maintain schedule flexibility, including occasional overtime, weekends, and holiday work.
- Operate handling tools and equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, j-bars, and hand trucks.
- Uphold the highest standards of care and professionalism when working with clients and collections.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5 years of professional experience in art handling, packing, and transport.
- Proven knowledge of best practices in artwork installation and collection care.
- Strong communication skills and an attentive, team-oriented work ethic.
- Ability to assess and resolve on-site handling challenges, escalating issues when needed.
- Valid driver’s licence; CDL licence is an advantage.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted, and push/pull up to 150 pounds with equipment.
- Comfortable working in varied environmental conditions including heat, cold, and inclement weather.
- Familiarity with common warehouse and handling tools and equipment.
