A growing organisation within the specialist logistics and secure storage sector is seeking an Associate Director of Operations to lead operations at its Houston, TX facility. This role focuses on overseeing complex logistics services, secure storage operations, and specialised transportation solutions for high-value and sensitive collections. The successful candidate will drive operational efficiency, lead a skilled technical team, and ensure exceptional service delivery across all facility activities.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Lead and support operational teams responsible for specialist handling, storage, and transportation services.
  • Oversee daily activity within a secure warehouse facility designed for sensitive and high-value collections.
  • Coordinate logistics projects involving installations, removals, and client site services.
  • Ensure specialist packing, crating, and transportation procedures are consistently followed.
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking through inventory and digital management systems.
  • Optimise warehouse layout and storage systems to maximise operational efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain operational procedures focused on safety, security, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure operational requests and projects are delivered on schedule.
  • Monitor operational budgets and track departmental spending.
  • Oversee procurement of operational equipment, materials, and specialised packing supplies.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor supervisors, coordinators, drivers, and technical team members.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes, and operational performance.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience working within specialist logistics, high-value asset storage, or secure transportation environments.
  • Background in warehouse operations, logistics management, or operational leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams within a technical or logistics setting.
  • Experience coordinating complex logistics or installation-based projects.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
