Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of import and export logistics, ensuring the efficient movement of artworks via air, sea and road freight
- Oversee and complete customs entries and shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with international regulations
- Coordinate international shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers and specialist art logistics providers
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, galleries, museums and internal teams, providing updates on shipment status
- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, partners and customers
- Monitor shipments from origin to destination, resolving any logistical issues that may arise
- Support the wider operations team with planning and coordination of artwork transportation
Requirements:
- Solid experience within import/export operations and international logistics
- Previous exposure to fine art shipping, gallery logistics or specialist freight is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures, documentation and international shipping processes
- Experience handling air, sea and road freight shipments
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and work collaboratively within a team environment
