Alchemy is partnering with a leading bespoke logistics and storage organization seeking an Associate Director of Operations to join its dynamic and growing team in Denver, CO.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role would oversee all technical staff in Colorado ensuring the highest level of care and client service as pertains to the handling, storage, and transportation of fine art, fashion, and other collectibles.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage teams across Denver and Aspen facilities, ensuring consistently high standards of client service and operational excellence.
  • Support and reinforce Manager and Supervisor leadership across Colorado, ensuring seamless operational coverage and balanced service delivery between facilities.
  • Coordinate and schedule all transport and technical service operations in partnership with the Denver Technical Services Supervisor and Aspen Warehouse Manager, including deliveries, collections, offsite installations and de-installations, large-scale packing projects, art fairs, and special events, with a strong focus on asset protection and client experience.
  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for complex or large-scale service projects across the Colorado region, including on-site involvement when required.
  • Oversee the efficient scheduling and coordination of internal operations across Denver and Aspen, including inventory management, warehouse workflows, and crate construction.
  • Act as a key liaison with Account Management and Business Development teams to deliver best-in-class service to both new and existing clients.
  • Direct and optimize the allocation of art handling staff across the region, aligning workforce capacity with operational demand and client requirements.
  • Partner with the Operations Compliance team to ensure adherence to TSA Certified Cargo Screening Program standards, including training and ongoing compliance.
  • Oversee storage operations at both facilities, ensuring safe handling practices, compliance with racking standards, forklift certifications, OSHA requirements, and robust inventory controls.
  • Manage performance against regional budget targets, driving accountability for both revenue generation and cost control.
  • Lead regional procurement of supplies and equipment, ensuring timely processing and management of all related accounts payable.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard Operations team members as required, ensuring all mandatory training and development requirements are met.
  • Establish performance goals and objectives in line with the Performance Management program, delivering semi-annual feedback and completing annual performance reviews for all direct and indirect reports.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment through active mentoring, coaching, and team development.
  • Partner with Facilities teams in Denver and Aspen to support ongoing building maintenance and operational readiness.
  • Lead or support special projects that enhance warehouse efficiency and scalability, including new facility design and setup, team training initiatives, and reconfiguration of existing locations.
  • Travel regularly between the Denver and Aspen facilities to support regional operations.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and stakeholders.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and creative thinking capabilities.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-site operational environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated commitment to coaching, mentoring, and team development.
  • High level of proficiency with database systems and operational information software.
  • Ability to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Physically capable of performing occasional lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, and pushing or pulling up to 150 lbs with equipment or 50 lbs unaided.
  • 7+ years of experience in warehousing, logistics, project management, or related operational disciplines (fine art logistics experience preferred but not required).
