Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and evolve a multi-depot commercial removals marketing strategy across the branch network, identifying both existing strengths and new market opportunities.
- Work with marketing to review and refine commercial/logistics removals marketing materials to support business growth.
- Identify market segments (public, private commercial, logistics) where the business has competitive advantage or potential exposure, targeting new removals clients and markets.
- Generate new business through existing contacts, responses to RFIs, private enquiries, and proactive outreach to companies, trade partners and competitors.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing commercial removals and logistics clients; respond promptly to new enquiries and follow up on proposals, securing contracts where possible.
- Attend removals client surveys, planning meetings and project reviews (onsite or virtual); prepare operational schedules, pricing and proposals.
- Manage project oversight: liaise with third-party providers, obtain costs, confirm services, and coordinate with operational teams and branch managers to deliver services.
- Develop and implement profitable pricing strategies; update pricing in line with changing project scopes and obtain authorisation prior to commencement.
- Promote and sell additional services, including commercial storage solutions (e.g., vehicle storage, bulky/oversized items, palletised storage) to both new and existing removals clients.
- Work closely with operations departments and third-party suppliers to ensure resources/capacity are aligned with project demands; negotiate competitive rates when necessary.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven commercial or business development experience within the removals, relocation, logistics, or storage industries (commercial, office/industrial, or household goods).
- Strong track record of generating new business and developing long-term client relationships in commercial removals or logistics sectors.
- Experience with pricing strategy development, cost management, and supplier negotiations.
- Excellent project management skills, able to coordinate multiple stakeholders (clients, third-party providers, operations teams) and oversee delivery to agreed standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to respond effectively to removals client needs, manage expectations, and address service issues professionally.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and quality standards (including relevant industry quality systems and data protection legislation).
