A leading international moving company is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee operations in Bowie, MD. What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the international moving branch.
- Manage and lead a team including sales, operations, customer service, and move coordinators.
- Develop and implement strategic growth plans for international business lines.
- Ensure compliance with international moving regulations, customs protocols, and standards.
- Monitor KPIs related to customer satisfaction, cost control, and operational efficiency.
- Manage profit & loss (P&L) responsibilities and drive revenue growth.
- Coordinate logistics for household goods and corporate relocation projects.
- Maintain relationships with overseas agents and global moving partners.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and employee performance.
- Handle escalations and ensure resolution of client issues with professionalism.
- Work closely with HR on hiring, training, and retaining top talent.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in the international moving or relocation industry.
- Proven leadership background in managing large, cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of FIDI/FAIM, OMNI, and other global mobility standards.
- Financial acumen, including P&L management and budgeting.
- Excellent communication, client relationship, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
