Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily removal operations, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Allocate jobs and coordinate schedules for removal crews, drivers, and support staff.
- Plan efficient vehicle routes; manage driver shifts; and ensure resource utilisation.
- Monitor the removals team performance, provide coaching, and drive continuous improvement
- Resolve operational issues swiftly (delays, damage claims, client alterations)
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, transport, and licensing regulations
- Maintain and enforce high customer service standards throughout all operations
- Liaise with removals clients, handle complaints, and ensure satisfaction
- Oversee vehicle fleet maintenance schedules, inspections and repairs
- Collaborate with warehouse/storage teams to coordinate moves and storage handovers
- Prepare operational reports and KPIs for senior management
- Implement process improvements, cost-saving measures and best practices
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in removals, logistics, transport operations or a related field
- Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise multiple tasks and projects
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to motivate teams
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure
- Knowledge of transport regulations, health & safety and compliance standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, variable environment and adapt to changes
