What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist with daily dispatch operations for local and long-distance moves.
- Communicate with drivers, crews, and customers to ensure smooth service.
- Track truck locations and update schedules in real time.
- Coordinate delivery and pickup times to optimize efficiency.
- Respond promptly to service changes or issues in the field.
- Maintain dispatch logs and documentation accurately.
- Support senior dispatchers in planning and routing.
- Use dispatch software to manage workflows and updates.
- Ensure drivers comply with DOT and company safety standards.
- Handle basic customer service inquiries related to move status.
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams for seamless execution.
- Provide after-hours support on a rotational basis as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in dispatch or logistics, ideally in the moving industry.
- Familiarity with HHG or commercial relocation operations is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with dispatching software.
