Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site and virtual surveys for domestic, commercial, and international removals
- Assess volume, property access, packing requirements, and any specialist handling needs
- Accurately record survey details and removals requirements
- Carry out surveys for both private removals customers and contract relocation clients
- Provide professional advice to removals customers regarding packing, storage, and moving services
- Prepare clear and detailed survey reports to support accurate quotations
- Manage and organise a survey diary to ensure efficient scheduling of appointments
- Ensure all removals surveys comply with BAR standards and company procedures
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and excellent customer service during surveys
- Follow up quotations and maintain contact with prospective clients
- Build strong relationships with customers to maximise opportunities to secure work
- Seek opportunities to generate new business and build relationships with local businesses
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience within the removals or relocation industry
- Experience surveying removals jobs or operational experience within removals (such as operations, move coordination, or scheduling) with an interest in moving into a sales-focused role
- Understanding of domestic, commercial, and international relocation services
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good organisational and diary management abilities
- High attention to detail when assessing moves and recording information
