Our client, an established HR provider, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support accurate financial reporting and compliance across its finance operations.
This role requires a detail-driven accounting professional with strong experience in tax, audit, accounting and finance processes within a fast-paced environment.
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting for a services-based organisation, with a strong focus on revenue recognition, tax schedules submitted to the external CPA office, and month-end close activities. The position ensures compliance with US GAAP, supports audit requirements, and works closely with operations and project teams to deliver timely and accurate financial information.
Responsibilities
- Maintain banking relationships and oversee related financial documentation and communications
- Manage tax and financial reporting, preparing, reviewing and coordinating tax-related documents and schedules in response to requests from the external CPA office
- Support payroll reporting, including payroll journal entries, financial reports and reconciliations
- Conduct statutory reporting, financial analysis and audit preparation
- Ensure regional compliance across relevant financial regulations
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy in accounting records
- Assist with preparing audit schedules and provide support during external audits
- Identify process improvement opportunities within the accounting function to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Ensure compliance with information security regulations, ISO principles and global data protection requirements, maintaining software and data encryption standards to ensure the safety, integrity and accountability of all financial data
- Perform all other duties as assigned within the finance and accounting team

- Tax and reporting management
- Regulatory reporting across state, regional and country requirements
- Supporting audit processes and statutory financial reporting
- Managing payroll reporting and account reconciliations
- Performing balance sheet variance analysis
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset register and depreciation schedules
- Ensuring regional financial compliance across applicable jurisdictions
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required); MBA or CPA preferred
- 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within services or consulting environments
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards, including revenue recognition
- Experience with project accounting and billing cycles
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
- Experience with accounting and ERP systems such as Sage, Workday, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP or similar platforms
- Additional language skills would be advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience in professional services organisations is preferred
- Experience supporting financial audits is preferred
- Strong ability to organise and prioritise daily and weekly tasks
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Proactive “can-do” attitude with the ability to learn quickly
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with internal partners and colleagues
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of the company and client financial information
- Demonstrates strong business and organisational acumen
We are seeking a candidate with strong accounting expertise, particularly within US tax processes, excellent attention to detail and the ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced finance environment.
This is a full-time position with standard working hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Salary is up to $80,000 base per year + benefits.
