The role oversees and supports daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations while remaining hands-on in material handling and order fulfilment. This role combines leadership with active participation and is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, managing cycle counts and physical inventories, and ensuring all material transactions are properly recorded in the Infor/Syteline system.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and participate in daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities.
- Perform hands-on tasks such as unloading, loading, staging, palletizing, weighing, wrapping, and verifying shipments.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and condition; document and report discrepancies.
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and receiving documents including Bills of Lading, packing slips, pick tickets, and shipping notices.
- Schedule and coordinate common carrier and customer-arranged pickups; complete all related paperwork.
- Support production by transferring materials from the warehouse to designated production areas (Press, Laminator, etc.).
- Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with customer and carrier requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment with an emphasis on 5S practices.
- Ensure warehouse inventory accuracy by:
- Leading and performing cycle counts and periodic/monthly physical inventories (including occasional Saturdays).
- Reconciling discrepancies between physical counts and system data.
- Ensuring all material movements are accurately recorded in Infor/Syteline.
- Train and support team members on proper material handling procedures and inventory transactions in Infor/Syteline.
- Assist in designing, implementing, and continuously improving warehouse processes and business systems.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of shipping and receiving experience, including leadership or supervisory roles.
- Strong hands-on warehouse background with proven forklift experience (certification preferred).
- Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, and physical inventory processes.
- Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems; Infor/Syteline strongly preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Strong math, computer, and analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support team members.

- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.

Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, crouching, and repetitive motion.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
