We are seeking an experienced and proactive Billing Team Leader to join our client's finance department. This leadership role will oversee the billing function, manage a small team, and ensure accurate, timely invoicing in line with contractual obligations.

Acting as a key point of escalation, the Billing Team Leader will also drive process improvements and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across internal departments and with clients.

This position offers hybrid working with 2 days per week required in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the end-to-end client billing process, ensuring compliance with contract terms and service-level expectations.
  • Supervise and support billing team members in daily operations, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee the generation of accurate and timely invoices across logistics, HR, relocation services, and third-party vendor charges.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Account Managers and Operations to confirm all billable activities are captured and approved.
  • Resolve complex billing discrepancies and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Maintain and manage client billing profiles, including pricing structures, billing rules, and contract updates.
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership on month-end close, revenue recognition, and audit requirements.
  • Produce and review regular billing performance reports and metrics for internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency in billing operations.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in billing or invoicing, ideally in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Sector experience in HR, logistics, or relocation services is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high degree of numerical accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with billing or ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to lead a team, manage workloads, and drive results under tight deadlines.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple priorities.
