Alchemy is partnering with an established aerospace and defense organization seeking a Technical Proposal Manager to join their team in Milwaukee, WI. 

Reporting into the Director of Engineering and Technical Solutions, this role will conduct in-depth technical research and develop high-quality proposals that align with customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive technical research on aircraft platforms, systems, and integration approaches to inform proposal development.
  • Review and interpret Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation, ensuring all submissions comply with applicable requirements, specifications, and standards.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams, suppliers, system integrators, and business development personnel to produce complete and competitive customer proposals.
  • Write, edit, and format proposal content to ensure clarity, technical accuracy, and alignment with customer needs and solution strategies.
  • Partner with Business Development to craft differentiated value propositions tailored to each customer’s evaluation criteria.
  • Develop cost, schedule, and risk narratives in coordination with subject matter experts.
  • Maintain a repository of technical content, templates, and reusable proposal components to support future opportunities.
  • Support post-submission activities, including responses to clarification requests and proposal revisions.
  • Create ancillary capture materials such as white papers, marketing collateral, and technical presentations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience developing detailed technical proposals within the aerospace or defense sector.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace systems and familiarity with industry technical documentation standards.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive narratives and visuals.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Canva is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of defense funding pathways is advantageous but not required.
