General Manager - Moving Services

We are hiring a General Manager in Dallas, TX to lead high-performing operations within the moving and relocation sector. This senior leadership role will oversee multi-site operations, drive revenue growth, and ensure best-in-class service delivery across household goods (HHG) and office & industrial (O&I) relocations. Ideal for a results-driven leader with deep industry expertise and a strong operational mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership across all branch and terminal operations within the Dallas market
  • Oversee end-to-end execution of HHG and O&I relocations, ensuring service excellence
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and cost control across all operational units
  • Lead, mentor, and develop operations managers, supervisors, and frontline staff
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, budgets, and financial performance metrics
  • Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
  • Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and storage solutions
  • Manage fleet operations, maintenance programs, and asset utilization
  • Partner with sales teams to support business development and client retention
  • Handle high-level client relationships and resolve complex service issues
  • Implement scalable processes and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead workforce planning, recruitment, and training strategies

Key Skills & Experience:
  • Extensive experience in the moving and relocation industry (HHG and/or O&I required)
  • Proven leadership experience in a senior operations or general management role
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics, transportation, and warehouse operations
  • Expertise in DOT compliance, safety regulations, and risk management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
