Our client is seeking a Branch Operations Manager to take full responsibility for the performance and day-to-day management of their Stoke-on-Trent operation. This role will oversee warehouse, transport, and office functions, ensuring seamless coordination across storage, freight forwarding, and logistics services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of branch operations, including warehouse, transport, and office functions
  • Lead and develop both operational and administrative teams
  • Oversee end-to-end logistics operations across, storage, and freight forwarding
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including planning and scheduling
  • Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and effective storage solutions
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and operational regulations
  • Oversee packing standards and quality control across all shipments
  • Coordinate with transport, export/import, and customer service teams
  • Manage branch budgets, costs, and profitability targets
  • Handle client escalations and maintain high service standards
  • Monitor and report on KPIs and overall branch performance

Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a branch, depot, or operations management role within logistics or relocation
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and freight forwarding processes
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing multi-functional teams
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and performance
  • Experience with WMS and logistics systems
