If so, our client is looking for a Moving Consumer Salesperson in Chicago, IL, to support residential household goods sales. The role involves working directly with customers, understanding their moving requirements, producing estimates and managing sales opportunities from initial inquiry to post-sales support.
Our client has specifically requested candidates with:
- Experience selling residential/hhg moving services within the household goods industry.
- A good understanding of the sales process from initial enquiry and survey through to quotation and booking.
- Experience estimating household goods moves and discussing competitive pricing with customers based on their unique needs.
- The ability to manage a busy pipeline and follow up multiple sales opportunities effectively.
- Strong customer communication and relationship-building skills.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Speaking with customers through leads about their upcoming moves and recommending the appropriate moving services.
- Managing incoming sales enquiries and following up consistently to turn opportunities into booked moves.
- Completing in-person and virtual moving surveys and producing accurate estimates.
- Preparing and presenting quotations based on shipment size, distance and customer requirements.
- Keeping customers informed throughout the sales process and answering questions around their move and quotation.
- Recording sales activity, customer information and follow-ups accurately within company systems.
