An experienced Moving Warehouse Manager is needed to manage warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics coordination for both residential and commercial moving projects at a reputable moving and relocation company in Nashville, TN. This position is essential to preserving moving operational effectiveness, guaranteeing the secure handling of client items, and assisting with top-notch moving and relocation services. Strong leadership expertise in the moving and relocation sector is a must.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including dispatch, inventory control, storage, and receiving. 
  • Oversee moving crews, drivers, and warehouse employees to guarantee effective scheduling and workflow synchronisation. 
  • Organise workplace moves, storage projects, and incoming and outgoing shipments of household goods (HHG). 
  • Create and implement operating policies, OSHA compliance requirements, and warehouse safety protocols. 
  • Monitor fleet vehicles, storage materials, and warehouse equipment to guarantee operational preparedness. 
  • Work together with the sales, customer service, and operations departments to support client satisfaction and move planning. 
  • Increase efficiency, optimise workflow procedures, storage utilisation, and warehouse layout. 
  • Oversee vendor relationships for facilities services, equipment upkeep, and warehouse supplies. 
  • Examine moving labor expenses, warehouse performance, and operational KPIs to increase output and profitability


Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven warehouse management experience in the relocation, storage, or moving sector 
  • Excellent leadership experience overseeing logistics staff, warehouse teams, and operational procedures 
  • Expertise in logistics software, operational reporting tools, and inventory management systems 
  • Understanding of warehouse safety requirements, OSHA rules, and compliance processes 
  • Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and organising abilities 
  • The capacity to prioritise tasks and oversee several projects in a hectic setting 
  • Excellent attention to detail with an emphasis on customer happiness, efficiency, and service quality
