The position supports the preparation of US financials and assists the US Country Finance Manager with month-end tasks, reporting, and analysis. This role oversees day-to-day accounting processing, reconciliations, and financial accuracy across the US business.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations and resolve unreconciled items; process deposits.
- Update intercompany balances and coordinate with operations on missing items.
- Prepare and post journal entries (fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, deferred/accrued income).
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and the accrual/WIP tracker.
- Prepare monthly margin analysis and support margin review work.
- Support month-end close (5–10 day timeline) and quarterly/year-end processes.
- Assist with audits, research accounting issues, and help with AP/AR as needed.
- Contribute to process improvements and internal finance projects.
- Ensure compliance with information security and global data protection standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; Sage X3 experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality.
- Proactive, team-oriented, and able to build strong working relationships.
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods; occasional travel may be required.
