We are partnering with a well-established international moving and relocation company with a nationwide presence and an excellent reputation across the industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to their team based in Sterling, VA.
This is a hybrid position, offering a mix of office and home working. For the right individual, there is potential for the role to become fully remote in the future once established within the business.
In this role, you will take ownership of the billing and collections process across household goods, corporate relocation, and international moving services. You'll play a key part in ensuring invoices are accurate, payments are collected on time, and customer accounts are managed professionally and efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the invoicing process from completed move through to final payment collection
- Monitor accounts receivable and proactively follow up on outstanding balances
- Produce collections and account status reports
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer queries
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with operations, move management, and other departments to ensure billing accuracy
- Support the continuous improvement of billing and collection processes

- Previous billing, collections, or accounts receivable experience within the moving and relocation industry
- Understanding of moving industry documentation, tariffs, invoicing procedures, and billing practices
- Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy
