Key Responsibilities:
- Plan out and dispatch equipment, drivers, and moving personnel for the move of residential household goods.
- Organise daily moving plans to optimise resource usage and operational effectiveness.
- Inform clients of schedule modifications, service updates, move dates, and arrival timings.
- Collaborate closely with the operations, customer support, sales, and surveys teams.
- Keep an eye on crew availability and assign workers according to the size, complexity, and needs of the customer.
- Organise the distribution of vehicles and equipment to support current and upcoming moving operations.
- Handle last-minute cancellations, scheduling adjustments, and staffing needs.
- Monitor the progress of the move throughout the day and take aggressive measures to resolve any operational problems.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of all moving paperwork, work orders, inventory, and dispatch records.
- Keep drivers and crew leaders informed about job progress and operational updates on a regular basis.
- Encourage adherence to safety requirements, corporate rules, and transportation laws.
- Help with service support and customer complaint resolution to keep customer satisfaction levels high.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dispatcher, Operations Coordinator, or similar role within the moving and relocation industry.
- Strong knowledge of residential household goods (HHG) moving operations, scheduling, and dispatch processes.
- Experience coordinating moving crews, drivers, trucks, and equipment across multiple daily assignments.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with dispatch software, transportation management systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and operational teams.
