The role will see you dispatch local and long-distance household good (HHG) moves, making sure that crews have the right tools and resources arranged for the move.
Key responsibilities:
- Organize daily moving plans
- Allocate the correct resources for the move to allow the crews to effectively carry out a seamless move.
- Inform clients of schedules and arrival times.
- Monitor crew availability and assign workers according to the size and complexity of the move.
- Handle any last-minute cancellations, scheduling adjustments, and staffing needs.
- Monitor the progress of the move throughout the day and take measures to resolve any operational issues.
- Verify the accuracy of all moving paperwork, work orders, inventory, and dispatch records.
Experience needed:
- Proven experience as a Dispatcher or similar role within the moving industry.
- A strong knowledge in moving operations, scheduling, and dispatch processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with dispatch and transportation management software.
