You'll play a key role in growing corporate, government, group, and leisure business while working closely with internal teams to maximise revenue and strengthen the property's presence within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a sales strategy to increase hotel occupancy and revenue.
- Generate new business across corporate, government, group, and leisure markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel managers, event planners, and other local partners.
- Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry functions to promote the business and win new accounts.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate rates, and convert enquiries into confirmed business.
- Identify new business opportunities by monitoring market trends and competitor activity.
- Work closely with the operations and revenue teams to maximise commercial performance.
- Keep the CRM system up to date, managing sales activity, forecasts, and client information.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in hotel sales, hospitality business development, or commercial management.
- Demonstrable success in increasing occupancy, revenue, and market share within the hospitality sector.
- Strong network of contacts within the Washington, DC business and hospitality community.
- Experience developing business across corporate, government, group, and extended stay markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
