Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily management and compliance of all company vehicles within the moving and relocation fleet
- Maintain driver qualification files, ELD records, and IFTA reporting in line with DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Ensure all vehicles have up-to-date registrations, permits, and documentation
- Schedule and track preventative maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime
- Conduct regular fleet inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance
- Deliver safety training programs including defensive driving and cargo securement
- Lead accident investigations and manage insurance claims processes
- Implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents and improve safety standards
- Act as the main point of contact for DOT audits and roadside inspections
- Manage relationships with fuel vendors, repair shops, and equipment suppliers
- Coordinate container drayage operations, including dispatching drivers for port collections
- Source and purchase packing materials from approved vendors
Key Skills & Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in fleet management or transportation safety ideally within the moving and relocation industry
- Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations
- Experience with fleet maintenance programs and compliance systems
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- CDL Class A or B preferred with a clean driving record
