We are partnering with a leading forwarder in Essex seeking an experienced Ocean Export manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the Export Customer Service and Operations teams in achieving operational excellence and best in class customer service.
- To ensure that everyone on the team understands their requirements for the team.
- To ensure that relevant internal and external training courses, as well as associated refresher training, are completed on schedule and in accordance with the Company's or law's requirements, depending on their function.
- To guarantee that any performance-related discussion, whether favourable or bad, is properly recorded in the HR system, including probationary reviews, disciplinary meetings, and assessments.
- To guarantee that customer expectations are met (and, when necessary, managed) and that operations are handled in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- To ensure that operational SOPs for internal department procedures, CFS partners, and offshore resource centres are in place and maintained.
- To guarantee that key performance indicators (KPIs) are defined, measured, managed, reported on, and continuously improved.
- Ensure that sales invoices and settlements are completed on time. Ensure that suppliers are properly managed and that the highest levels of service are maintained.
- Must be fully proficient with HMRC process’
- Previous experience working for a freight forwarder
- A background in Ocean Exports
