Group Financial Accountant

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a new challenge? We have a position available for a Group Financial Accountant based in Cambridge. As part of the group finance team, you will be reporting directly to the Group Finance Manager.

The role offers hybrid working and the potential for career advancement. The Group Financial Accountant will take ownership of the monthly and quarterly consolidation process, reporting to the international parent company, and liaising with external auditors. You will also take charge of organising and arranging internal control paperwork, testing, and reporting relevant to J-SOX for the entire group as well as the associated internal audits of subsidiary businesses. This can necessitate occasional international travel.

You will also be responsible for preparing the statutory financial accounts for this organisation and another UK subsidiaries.

  • ACA/CIMA or similar qualification
  • Prior auditing or SOX experience would be an advantage 


  • Knowledge of current accounting standards and technical accounting expertise
  • Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting programmes like Oracle or SAP
  • Internal control auditing
