Operations Manager

Job Description

A large Moving and Relocation company that specializes in HHG, Commercial and Military moves as well as logistics, is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their moving team based in Sacramento, CA. 


  • Oversee the day to day operations of the warehouse.
  • Short and long haul planning/dispatch for the moving team.
  • Recruit and train new moving crew members.
  • Work with customers through issues, complaints and payments throughout the moving process.
  • Assist with long haul and locals operations in peak moving period.
  • Quality control.
  • Driver recruitment.
  • Labor background checking.
  • Visiting job sites to make sure all is going as should.
  • Facilitate equipment maintenance, inspections, availability and tracking.

Experience Required:
  • Previous experience working as a operations manager within the moving services sector.
  • Strategic thinker and planner
  • Strong man management skills.
  • Highly organised.
  • Solid IT skills.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
