Shipping Coordinator

Job Description

Our client, a globally recognised art organisation are seeking to appoint a Shipping Coordinator based in London.

This role offers industry training, remote working and excellent progression opportunities.

You will be responsible for the following duties:
  • In charge of all import/export permits, arts council applications, and paperwork required for international transportation.
  • Create shipment estimates for incoming and departed items.
  • Plan and manage substantial combined shipments for both air and sea transfers.
  • Arrange for local transportation, handling of artwork, packaging, and crating services.
  • Organize air, ocean, and courier shipments.
  • Carry out standard administrative procedures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for many internal sales divisions at once.
  • Carry out any additional ad hoc tasks as directed by the shipping manager.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience with art logistics and shipping.
  • Working knowledge of import and export documentation is advantageous. 
  • Previous experience working within the fine art industry is beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
  • Knowledge of customs documentation is preferred. 
  • Experience with Outlook and MS Office Suite.
