What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations within a commercial gallery setting
- Lead, manage, and develop warehouse staff and art handlers
- Coordinate the safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of artworks
- Supervise packing, crating, and condition reporting of fine art
- Ensure museum-grade handling standards are consistently maintained
- Manage inventory systems and maintain accurate artwork location tracking
- Plan logistics for exhibitions, art fairs, and client installations
- Liaise with couriers, shippers, framers, and conservators
- Maintain strict environmental controls and storage standards
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and industry best practice
- Support installation teams with technical handling when required
- Monitor operational efficiency, budgets, and warehouse performance
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience managing a fine art warehouse or gallery storage facility
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct teams and projects
- Hands-on experience in art handling, packing, and technical installation
- In-depth understanding of fine art storage standards and environmental controls
- Excellent organisational and inventory management skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with artists, clients, and internal teams
